Digital Economy Conference Sydney 2026

The Digital Economy Conference held in Sydney in June, which was attended by a number of our Directors and Managers and brought together leaders from government, financial services, technology, and digital assets to explore the future of Australia's digital economy. The conference provided an excellent platform for collaboration, knowledge sharing, and networking across the industry.

Managing Director Tony Rose participated as a conference panelist, contributing his insights and expertise as part of the broader industry dialogue.

As a proud member of DECA, we value our strong association with the organisation and its role in advancing Australia's digital economy.

LNP joins Finance Magnates Summit 2026 in Singapore

Our Director, Archana Kumar and Senior Manager Anna Xu, attended Finance Magnates Asia 2026 in Singapore, where industry leaders explored the trends shaping the future of financial markets.

Some of the key takeaways included:

  • AI in trading is transforming fraud detection, trading decisions and automation, while reinforcing the need for strong governance and human oversight.

  • Digital assets and tokenisation continue to gain momentum, with broader adoption relying on stronger infrastructure and greater regulatory alignment.

  • Evolving regulation is driving firms to diversify into multi-asset offerings, including crypto and equities, while navigating increasing compliance requirements.

  • Fintech innovation continues to accelerate, with new trading technologies and infrastructure creating greater flexibility for market participants.

These insights reinforce the Firm's strong position in supporting clients across the CFD and digital assets sectors as the industry continues to evolve.

Annual Reporting Financial Update 2026

In May, we hosted our Annual Financial Reporting Update presented by esteemed speaker Carmen Ridley FCA. It was great to see so many clients and industry contacts in Sydney. The session covered new accounting standards effective 30 June 2026, ASIC’s latest regulatory focus areas, sustainability reporting developments, and other emerging financial reporting issues.

As always, Carmen gave an engaging presentation, providing a valuable opportunity for attendees to gain practical insights and stay informed about developments shaping the financial reporting landscape.

In addition to the morning event, we also sponsored an evening session on behalf of ICAEW as part of their 2026-member speaker series. The event was well attended and proved to be a great success, providing valuable networking opportunities and positive engagement for participants.

Celebrating International Women's Day in Sydney

In early March, LNP Audit & Assurance celebrated International Women's Day by hosting a High Tea with some of our female clients, contacts and team members. The afternoon provided an opportunity to recognise the achievements of women across our profession while strengthening the relationships that continue to support our business and community.

It was a wonderful occasion filled with meaningful conversations, networking and appreciation for the talented women who contribute to our industry.

Supporting Blockchain APAC Policy Week

Earlier in the year, LNP Audit & Assurance together with Holley Nethercote, was proud to participate as a Roundtable Sponsor of Blockchain APAC Policy Week 2026.

The session titled, "Get & Stay Licensed: Mapping Your Authorisation Pathway", brought together regulators, policymakers, digital asset businesses, infrastructure providers and professional advisers to discuss the future of Australia's digital asset ecosystem.

Our participation reflects our ongoing commitment to supporting practical policy development, strong governance, and market integrity as the industry continues to mature.

We look forward to continuing these important conversations alongside industry leaders.

As we move into the second half of 2026, we remain committed to helping our clients navigate reporting season, evolving accounting standards, including the introduction of sustainability assurance, as well as ongoing regulatory and AML changes.

We're proud of what we've achieved so far this year. From sharing practical insights through our events and industry involvement to supporting clients across financial services and digital assets, we've continued to build on the strong relationships and technical expertise that our clients rely on.

Thank you to our clients, colleagues and industry partners for your continued trust and support. We appreciate the opportunity to work with you and look forward to what the rest of the year has in store.
